Company’s drilling rig recommissioned and renamed “JB-1” in honor of Zion Founder John Brown

DALLAS, Texas, and CAESAREA, Israel, June 10, 2026

Zion Oil & Gas, Inc. (OTC: ZNOG) is pleased to announce that field operations have commenced for the planned sidetrack phase of the Megiddo-Jezreel #2 well in Israel.

As expected, Zion has re-entered the well and is currently in the process of drilling out the temporary plug. Following this step, the team will condition the wellbore downhole and proceed with the planned horizontal sidetrack drilling.

“We are thankful to report that this next phase of work is now underway,” said Zion Oil & Gas Chairman/CEO Robert Dunn. “Our team has safely re-entered the well, and we are moving carefully through the required steps that prepare us for the planned sidetrack drilling. We remain focused on executing the approved work plan safely, efficiently, and with gratitude for the opportunity before us.”

Zion is also pleased to report that its drilling rig has been recertified and recommissioned in accordance with regulatory requirements, and in a fitting tribute, the rig has officially been renamed JB-1 in honor of Zion’s Founder, John Brown. John’s vision, faith, and perseverance established Zion’s mission of exploring for oil and gas onshore in Israel, and the Company is grateful to honor his legacy as this important phase of operations begins.

“Our crew, operations team, and all involved are excited to see this work moving forward,” Dunn added. “We deeply appreciate the continued prayers and encouragement of our shareholders and supporters around the world.”

Zion Oil & Gas remains committed to pursuing its mission in Israel with diligence, prudence, and faith, and looks forward to providing further updates as operations progress.

Remembering John Brown: A Scripture, A Vision, A Calling

Headline: Remembering John Brown: A Scripture, A Vision, A Calling

Dear Zion Family,

With heavy hearts, and yet with the sure hope promised to us in Jesus Christ, Zion Oil & Gas shares the passing of our founder, John Brown, on May 22, 2026 at the age of 86.

There are some lives that cannot be measured merely by years, titles, accomplishments, or milestones. John’s life was one of those. To many, he was a founder, chairman, entrepreneur, and pioneer. To those who knew him more personally, he was also a friend, mentor, encourager, and brother in Christ. But at the center of John’s life was something deeper still: a calling.

For more than forty years, John carried in his heart a conviction that shaped the course of his life and the identity of this company. What he often described as “A Scripture. A Vision. A Calling.” was not a slogan to him. It was the framework of his obedience. From the earliest days of his journey, John believed the Lord had placed before him a mission connected to the land and people of Israel—a mission that would require faith, perseverance, sacrifice, and patience far beyond what any ordinary business ambition could sustain.

And John did persevere.

He persevered through years of uncertainty. Through difficult seasons. Through waiting. Through opposition. Through questions that did not always receive immediate answers. Through the long labor of building a company whose purpose was never merely commercial, but deeply connected to faith, promise, stewardship, and love for Israel.

John’s faith was not theoretical. It moved him. It cost him. It compelled him to act.

That is one reason his life and leadership have inspired so many shareholders, supporters, employees, partners, and friends around the world. John reminded us that some callings are not carried for a season only. Some are carried for a lifetime. And some are entrusted to others to carry forward when the first servant’s race is complete.

In this moment, we are reminded of Moses, who led the people of Israel for forty years through the wilderness toward the land God had promised. Moses saw the Promised Land from a distance before his earthly journey ended, even though he himself did not enter it with the people he had led. Yet his life was not a failure. It was a testimony of faithfulness. He carried the promise as far as God appointed him to carry it, and others were called to continue the journey.

John’s story bears a similar kind of weight for many of us.

He gave more than four decades to the vision God placed in his heart. He stood, believed, worked, prayed, sacrificed, and pressed forward. And while we grieve that he is no longer with us in this earthly work, we do not grieve as those without hope. John’s greatest treasure was never a well, a license, a discovery, a company, or a public achievement. His greatest treasure was Christ. Today, we rejoice in confidence that John is in the presence of the Savior he loved and served.

At the same time, we feel the loss deeply.

We have lost a founder whose faith helped define this company.
We have lost a voice whose conviction strengthened many.
We have lost a friend whose life reminded us that obedience is often measured not in ease, but in endurance.

To John’s wife Joan and the rest of his earthly family, we offer our heartfelt prayers, gratitude, and deepest condolences. We honor the sacrifices they made and the years they shared him with a mission that touched lives across the world. We ask the Zion family to join us in praying for them in the days ahead.

And to our shareholders and supporters, we want to say clearly: the work John began does not end here.

John never intended Zion’s mission to rest on one man’s strength. His own testimony pointed beyond himself—to the faithfulness of God, to the promises of Scripture, to the people and land of Israel, and to the calling he believed the Lord had entrusted to this company. That calling remains before us.

Our resolve is not weakened. It is strengthened.

Our gratitude is not passive. It moves us forward.

Our sorrow is real, but it is not defeat.

The leadership and team of Zion Oil & Gas remain committed to carrying the torch John bore so faithfully. We remain committed to the mission, to our shareholders, to our work in Israel, and to the pursuit of the purpose that has guided Zion from the beginning. With humility, diligence, and renewed fervor, we will continue the work John felt called to begin.

John Brown’s earthly race is finished. His faith has become sight. His labor is now rest. His hope is now joy.

May we honor him not only by remembering what he said, but by continuing faithfully in what he began.

Sincerely,
Robert Dunn and the Entire Zion Oil & Gas Team

May 15, 2026

Dear Zion Shareholders and Supporters,

We wanted to give you all an update on recent progress at the MJ-02 well site in Israel.

On May 13, 2026, our Eastern European workers safely arrived back at the site and have begun the process of opening up and cleaning the well in preparation for the directional drilling team.

The directional equipment is currently scheduled to arrive in Israel the first week of June. Once that equipment is in place and ready for operations, our planned horizontal drilling is expected to commence in short order as conditions and logistics allow.

We are thankful for the continued safety and security of our crew and facilities, and for God’s providence in allowing this project to keep moving forward. We are also deeply grateful for the continued support and prayers of our shareholders and prayer warriors around the world.

We look forward to providing further updates as operations progress.

Sincerely,
Rob Dunn

March 24, 2026

Dear Zion Shareholders and Supporters,

We would like to provide a concise operational update and express our sincere gratitude for your unwavering prayers, encouragement, and support.

We are pleased to announce that the recertification of the rig has been successfully completed. The rig has also been relocated to the MJ-02 well in anticipation of commencement of the next phase of operations. Given the prevailing circumstances, we are thankful that these critical tasks have been accomplished and that progress has been maintained as planned.

In light of the heightened war activity and associated logistical challenges at regional ports, we have made the prudent decision this week to temporarily relocate our crew out of the country. This measure allows the shipping and port operations to resume and stabilize.

In many ways, this temporary respite is a blessing in disguise for our crew. They have diligently worked for the past three months on location in Israel with minimal breaks, often under challenging conditions and experiencing inconsistent sleep due to frequent missile and drone alerts and repeated movement in and out of bomb shelters. We are grateful that they now have the opportunity to rest and recover.

Despite these challenges, crew morale remains high. We are also actively addressing the additional complexities of shipping and logistics during the ongoing conflict. As you might expect, these have become unusually selective and occasionally difficult, but not insurmountable.

Most importantly, we are thankful that our personnel and worksite remain unharmed, knowing this is entirely due to the grace and protection of the Lord.

We remain committed to moving forward with the drilling program expeditiously as security conditions permit, and we deeply appreciate your steadfast prayers and unwavering support on this mission.

Warm regards,
Rob Dunn

Dear Zion Shareholders and Supporters,

First of all, thank you—your kind messages, prayers, and sincere care for our team amid the recent escalation of hostilities means a great deal to us, especially to our staff in Israel.

We are exceedingly grateful to God that, in His grace, our crew, staff, and wellsite remain safe and secure. Operations continue despite the fluid conditions on the ground and airspace closures. We have appropriate security measures firmly in place, including bomb shelters at the worksite. Crew morale remains positive, and our local contractors continue to play a critical role in assisting us during these turbulent times. We’re carefully monitoring developments and will keep you informed of any news.

Again, we’re so grateful for your continued support and prayer at this time. It’s a privilege to serve the Lord on your behalf and for Israel.

January 14, 2026

Dear Zion Shareholders and Supporters,

Our rig crew arrived on January 3 to begin a new phase of operations at both MJ-01 and MJ-02 in Israel. Over the past week, the team has focused on routine rig repair and maintenance including a much-needed upgrade to the generator system, ensuring reliable power for the drilling ahead.

Once the rig is serviced and tested, our crew will re-enter MJ-01, complete cleanup of the wellbore, install a seal below the water aquifer zone, and re-establish the mandated water monitoring well as required by the Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Water. Following this work, we will rig down and conduct the mandatory five-year recertification and inspection process to ensure full compliance with the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) and national standards before transitioning to the next stage.

After inspection, we will rig up over MJ-02, plug and abandon the lower sections of that wellbore, set the direction, and begin the planned horizontal drilling operation into the target reservoir zone.

As we begin 2026, we are thankful for the progress to date and for the faith and encouragement of our shareholders. With all our plans, we keep in mind Isaiah 48:17:

“This is what the Lord says – your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: ‘I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.’”

Headline: đŸ‡źđŸ‡± Zion Oil & Gas Update: October 8, 2025

October 8, 2025

Dear Zion Shareholders and Supporters,

Since our July update, we have advanced planning for the next phase of operations in Israel. Our technical objective remains unchanged: sidetrack the well and drill a lateral section into the identified target interval to enable multi-stage stimulation across multiple zones.

The principal operational refinement is to begin this campaign from MJ-02, located on the same pad as MJ-01, just 7.5 meters away on surface and approximately 300 meters offset at depth. Both wellbores access the same target zone. Starting from MJ-02 allows us to begin in larger casing, use larger-diameter tools, and execute a two-stage drilling plan—providing greater flexibility to manage downhole contingencies and improving our chance of operational success.

Logistics remain challenging in Israel’s onshore market, where most services and equipment must be imported with added time and cost. Despite providers being heavily contracted, we have secured key services such as drilling, mud, and cementing. Recent visa reforms and progress with ministry approvals are also positive steps forward.

We are preparing to mobilize the rig crew in January, complete upgrades and site work in February, and begin drilling in March. Leveraging the existing wellbore gives us a strong head start, and while this type of lateral drilling is new to onshore Israel, our team is well-positioned to execute it successfully.

We appreciate your continued patience, prayers, and support for Israel and for our work. For a fuller discussion in plain terms, please listen to a 20-minute conversation with our COO, Monty Kness, and VP of Investor Relations & Marketing, Andrew Summey – [LISTEN HERE].

Thank you for standing with us. We remain focused, diligent, and encouraged by the doors that continue to open.

July 15, 2025

Dear Zion Shareholders and Supporters,

On June 10 we completed flowback operations at our Megiddo Jezreel #1 well in Israel and have since temporarily shut it in and demobilized our crew. We did this, and the last of our out-of-country crew left, just hours before the 12-day war with Iran began.

Over the past several weeks we have been analyzing the initial gas composition data. These results confirm that our targeted perforation and stimulation were successful: Gas reached the surface and showed characteristics consistent with a productive reservoir.

At this point we are considering two ways of moving forward. The first is to sidetrack the well laterally using our rig. The second is to deploy coil tubing. Both approaches are being evaluated in terms of technical feasibility and overall cost. We expect to begin equipment procurement and scheduling by the end of July.

I ask for your continued patience and prayers for both our operations and the people of Israel. Our team remains confident in our progress and focused on the vision ahead.

For a fuller understanding where we are operationally, I invite you to listen to a full 20minute audio conversation with our COO, Monty Kness, and VP of Investor Relations and Marketing, Andrew Summey – CLICK HERE.

Thank you for your support for Israel and Zion. We continue to ask for your prayers since we know they make a difference for Israel and our work.

your renown endures through all generations.
You will arise and have compassion on Zion,
for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.
For her stones are dear to your servants;
her very dust moves them to pity.
The nations will fear the name of the LORD,
all the kings of the earth will revere your glory.
For the LORD will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory.
He will respond to the prayer of the destitute;
he will not despise their plea.
Let this be written for a future generation,
